We’re pleased to share a new press feature on non-alcoholic wine: Picolino highlights Maison Chavin and how Mathilde Boulachin, born in Champagne, turned an ambitious idea into a global benchmark.
The article follows Mathilde’s journey: after studying international trade and working abroad, she returns to France with the conviction that wine can be reimagined. With just €5,000 in capital, she sets out to craft premium non-alcoholic wine, using gentle methods (vacuum distillation at low temperature) to preserve natural aromas.
Picolino also underlines the growth of a new consumer group: the “flexidrinkers” , those who enjoy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine. According to a Chavin-CSA study cited, 13% of French people now consume non-alcoholic wine; more than half have adopted this habit in the past two years, and 55% are under 35.
This press feature reaffirms what Chavin has upheld for over 15 years: a vision of wine that is inclusive, responsible, and committed to excellence. Maison Chavin isn’t just a brand of non-alcoholic wine it’s a project of innovation, ethics, and high quality.
