Big tradition in the swedish culture, the crayfish party (kräftskiva) has spread to Finland and Norway.

Each year, at the end of summer, families and friends gather and seat around a table outdoor, by candlelight and lanterns. In the soft heat of August, in the midst of wild scandivian’s nature, it’s the perfect moment to enjoy one of the most popular dish : crayfish.

Crayfish is fished after dark, it is immersed alive in a salty broth with dill. According to the tradition, it is eaten cold, with fingers and a lot of noise to enjoy all the flavor !

To enjoy this feast, popular songs and white wine are highly recommended.

For this occasion, Pierre Chavin’s oenologist selected 2 wines which will sublimate the crayfish.
